A popular trail system five miles outside of Bellingham. Rolling single and double track trails climb over a small ridge and form a nice network of trails for some fun loops.
Very popular, several hundred acre public park containing an extensive trail system, forest, lake, swimming area, boat launch, picnic/recreational area and 18 hole championship golf course. Padden Trails will connect directly to this park via trail systems. The lake is stocked with trout annually. The golf course, including a first class range/training facility, is regularly recognized as one of the best public courses in the Northwest.
How to Find It
About an hour and half north of Seattle via I-5. This park is just 5 miles outside of Bellingham.
From Seattle
- Take I-5 north
- Take exit 246 "Samish Way"
- Turn left onto Samish Way
- Turn left at Lakeshore Drive
- Park near the restrooms and ballfields
Typical Conditions
Fun singletrack that drains pretty well. There are a couple rutted and rooty sections on the steep parts.
Turn by Turn
The trails mostly branch out in loops from the ballfield area. Head towards the woods. The better singletrack goes up the hill or left. To the right is mostly dog-walkers.
