01 / Regional Overview
Where we ride.
The South Sound chapter is Evergreen's tenth chapter, established in January 2026 by separating from Cascades to Sound. The split was driven by continued growth in partnerships, volunteer leadership, and trail development specific to Pierce County — giving the region its own dedicated chapter to provide more focused support, stronger local leadership, and long-term planning tailored to South Sound.
The chapter serves trail areas across Pierce County including Swan Creek Park, The Trek at Tehaleh, Dash Point, the 410 Corridor, Wards Lake, Eatonville, and Ashford. Signature systems include Swan Creek's technical urban bike park, the family-friendly Dash Point State Park trails, and the growing network at Tehaleh.
As a new chapter, South Sound is actively building its volunteer base and work party calendar. Getting involved now means shaping how this chapter grows.
