01 / Regional Overview
Where we ride.
The Methow chapter is an all-volunteer council working in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and other land managers to envision and steward a growing network of mountain bike and multi-use trails across north-central Washington's Methow Valley. The region boasts one of the most diverse and extensive trail systems in the state — ranging from high-alpine singletrack to modern flow trails in a spectacular north Cascades setting.
Signature systems include Angels Staircase and Uno Peak, Buck Mountain, the Cutthroat Pass area, Loup Loup North Summit, and the Sun Mountain trail network. The chapter runs regular dig days through the season — alternating Saturdays at 9 a.m. and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. across multiple locations.
The Loup Loup Trail Project — a major expansion with 35 miles under active development — is the chapter's flagship project and one of the most ambitious trail builds in the Evergreen network.
